Consult:

Every costume/design project starts with a consultation, where we outline what you're looking for, and if I am able to help you. It is strongly recommended that you present any photos, sketches, or inspirations you may have. During a consultation we'll discuss: Design style, Aesthetic, Detail/Accuracy, Fabrics, Timeline, Requirements, Price Range and Wishes. A full quote will not be discussed during consultation, as thorough research is required to flesh out an accurate price.

Design:

For Performance artists, Theater pieces, Drag Queens, and original designs a sketch may be required. This will happen following the consultation and be sent via email. For Cosplayers & those requesting garment reproduction, sketches are not typically provided, as the project being created already has photo documentation.

Quote:

Once the design is locked in, a quote will be generated by Johnnyangel. Time, Materials, and Labor are all factored into creating a quote. As a lot of research has to go into creating a quote, this phase may take up to 24 hours. Quotes will always be provided for you via PDF/JPG, and will be good for 6 months following quote origin date. Once the quote is approved a 50% deposit will be due to start the project. Deposits are non-refundable. For more information please see our terms & conditions.

Measurements:

Measuring yourself for your garment is a very crucial step of the process, and I always recommend asking a friend to help you. As garments are built entirely off measurements provided, do your best to ensure you measure carefully.  Be sure to keep in mind the fit of your garment, If you measure yourself loosely your garment may fit snug, and vice versa. If at any point you have any questions you may text or call Johnnyangel personally. Once you have you are ready to measure, You can submit your measurements here: Measurement Submission. If you'd like a PDF copy of your measurement submission, provide your email in the "email" box. You'll receive your PDF shortly.

First Cut:

My favorite step, the first cut of the fabric. There's a lot of prep work leading up to the first cut of your garment. Once that cut is made, the garment production is officially started! If you'd like progress shots of your garment from First Cut to Seaming to Fitting, just let me know and i'll be sure to photograph the process for you.

Fittings:

Every garment and piece will need to be tried-on or in the fashion/costume industry "Fit". Most garments can be completed in 1-2 fittings. The first fitting happens  about halfway through the process, it is very common for your garment to still be completely raw, and in some cases not fully sewn together. The second fitting happens about 7/8ths of the way through the process and in most cases you can pick up your garment following the second fitting. Grand & complex garments may require multiple fittings.

Pick-up / Shipping:

Once the garment is fully completed, and all balances are paid off, you are ready to rock your new costume! Costumes can be picked-up, dropped-off, or Shipped, depending on preference and prior agreement. Once the costume is yours, we ensure it for up to 6 months. This means if something is wrong due to "manufacturing" error, simply let me know and I'll correct it. However, this doesn't cover negligence on your end.
